Brighton Rampion Wind Farm and i360 Trip
On Tuesday 30th September, Emerald Class went on an exciting trip to Brighton to support their Geography learning about energy sources. Catching the train from Seaford station, they walked down to Brighton beach in glorious sunshine to visit the Rampion Wind Farm Visitors Centre. Here, they participated in a fun and informative workshop about the off-shore wind farm, which included designing their own wind farms, and explored the turbines in an exciting VR experience. Following a quick bite of lunch on the beach by the ruins of the West Pier, they then took flight on the i360, ascending 450ft into the sky for incredible views over Brighton and of the Rampion wind farm. It was a packed day full of fun and learning.
