On Tuesday 4th November, Emerald Class were lucky enough to get tickets for the world premiere of The Railway Children at Glyndebourne Opera House. The adapted version of the classic novel saw the action transposed to 1984 and the midst of the Cold War. This incredible opportunity to watch and hear some of the world's best opera performers was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Emerald Class cheered and applauded the performance with enthusiasm and even got to meet one of the performers after the show. All of the children conducted themselves brilliantly and made Alfriston School very proud.
